Warrensburg is at the confluence of the Schroon and Hudson rivers where mills once operated.

Warrensburg Mills Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Is approximately bounded by the Osborne and Woolen Mill bridges, the Schroon River, and the railroad right of way in southern Warrensburg, encompassing 400 acres, 58 buildings, and 4 structures.
