Lumberjack Days Site, Tupper Lake

Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 30, near Tupper Lake in Franklin County

Tupper Lake's exciting annual event attracts thousands of spectators and hundreds of competitors for a weekend of parades, logging demonstrations, thrilling competition, and fun.

Found in the Tupper Lake Municipal Park, on Route 3 as it goes north or south into TL, this is the huge site of the giant mill that burned in a spectacular fire on the lake shore. Today it is a public park, and home to local events, including the annual Woodsmen Field Days festival where lumberjack skills are on display every mid-July. A must-see event, watch the horse pulling, chainsaw carving, axe throwing, skidder and loader driving, and team greased pole climbing that are just some of the great events.
