Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 30, near Tupper Lake in Franklin County

The Holy Tree is living in front of the Community Bank building on Park Street in Tupper Lake and it is a honey locust tree carried from the Holy Land in 1926.

Joseph A. Thisell, MD brought the honey locust tree (Gleditsia triacanthos) to Tupper Lake from his visit to the Holy Land in 1926. A plaque memorializing the gesture was added in 1969 by the Tupper Lake Business and Professional Women's Club.
