Black Bear Mtn Bike Trailhead
Central Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 28, near Eagle Bay in Herkimer County
Offers an excellent view of Seventh Lake.
Access to Black Bear Mountain trail is on Uncas Road. Begins in fairly flat terrain, then steepens as the trail narrows and is more difficult. At base of Black Bear Mountain it is too steep to ride but there is only a short hike to summit. Offers an excellent view of Seventh Lake. Distance is 4.5 miles.
What a way to see the mountains – on a mountain bike. Biking the trails of Old Forge can be an exciting and unique way to enjoy the natural beauty that abounds in this area. Old Forge and the Central Adirondack area offers biking trails with a variety of terrain and degree of difficulty.
