On the state and national registers of historic places, this museum in Old Forge features Adirondack-related exhibits and an extensive research library.

The Goodsell Museum features six rooms of continually changingexhibits, artifacts, photographs and memorabilia of early life in theAdirondacks. In addition to the museum on Main Street, there is a research library with books, maps, genealogy and business records, vintage photographs and postcards. Open Tuesday-Saturday, no admission charge.
