TOBIE Pedestrian and Bike Path, Old Forge

Central Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 28, near Old Forge in Herkimer County

A bicycle and pedestrian pathway connecting the communities along a 14-mile corridor from Thendara to Inlet.

The pathway utilizes both on-road and off-road sections, including an abandoned spur line from the Remsen Lake Placid Rail Corridor running from the Adirondack Scenic Railroad Station in Thendara toward Old Forge. TOBIE stands for Thendara, Old Forge, Big Moose, Inlet and Eagle Bay.
