Sewalls Island Cartop Launch and Shoreline Fishing
Olympic Byway, State Rt. 3, near Watertown in Jefferson County
The Sewalls Island Cartop launch,located off Huntington Street in the City of Watertown, provides visitors with opportunities for shoreline fishing on the Black River.
Sewall’s Island is located approximately midway along Watertown’s Black River corridor and is a teardrop-shaped island east of Factory Square with access from Huntington Street. Plans are underway to create another access point from Pearl Street. Huntington Street runs parallel to the southern shoreline of the Black River, and is found between Route 3 to the east and Route 283 to the west. Look for appropriate signage and parking.
