Black River NYSDEC Fishing Access Site
Olympic Byway, County Rt. 3, near Watertown in Jefferson County
Part of a 7.4 mile section of the river, and located in the vicinity of the VanDuzee Street Bridge, off West Main Street, Route 12E, Watertown.
Fish ladders at Dexter and Glen Park allow steelhead and Chinook salmon to swim as far as the center of Watertown. Steelhead fishing is popular near VanDuzee Bridge where large brook trout are stocked annually. Rafting and kayaking are also popular downstream of Watertown.
