Historic Niccolls Memorial Church

Central Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 28, near Old Forge in Herkimer County

Established in 1895, with the present church dedicated in 1917, it is named in honor of Dr. Samuel Niccolls, a minister from St. Louis.

The first meeting was under the pines on Fourth Lake and open to everyone: campers, guides, and lumberjacks.
