Lake Algonquin Fishing Access & Overlook
Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 30, near Speculator in Hamilton County
An award winning project designed to improve accessibility to shorelines adjacent to Adirondack communities.
Found along the north shore, off Algonquin Drive, near the Route 30 bridge, the Town of Wells and Hamilton County constructed a scenic overlook and fishing access platform, accessible to persons with disabilities, within the 50-foot shoreline structure setback of Lake Algonquin. Included are a picnic area, landscaping, crosswalk, and parking area.
