Jamestown Falls on the Raquette River

Olympic Byway, State Rt. 56, near South Colton in St. Lawrence County

The Jamestown Falls offer a beautiful view of the Racquette River for both the paddler or the hiker.

Surrounded by spruce and fir trees, the Jamestown Falls is one of the last sections of whitewater remaining on the Racquette River. To see the falls, access is available from a dirt road access point on NYS DEC land 2.4 miles north on Route 56, located off NYS Route 3 west of Tupper Lake.
