The Center is located on West Main St. opposite the harbor which is on Black River Bay, off Lake Ontario.

The War of 1812 Battlefield, historic Madison Barracks, and quaint village streets bear witness to Sackets Harbor’s role as a military stronghold defending the northern border during the United States’ turbulent first decades. Managed by the Village of Sackets Harbor, with information available at the Sackets Harbor Heritage Area Visitor Center.
