Historic Stone Bridge in Sackets Harbor

Olympic Byway, State Rt. 3, near Sackets Harbor in Jefferson County

This is found on County Route 75, or Military Avenue, in the Sackets Harbor Battlefield section of Sackets Harbor.

The historic stone arch bridge, built in 1815, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a contributing component of the Madison Barracks Historical District. In 1817, veterans of the American Revolution greeted President Monroe at the bridge with a 19-gun salute. Nearby battlefield today offers a reception center, gift shop, exhibitgalleries, historic house tours, living history camp and history trail.
