Glens Falls Falls
Central Adirondack Trail, U.S. Highway 9, near Glens Falls in Warren County
A large, irregular falls in the center of the city of Glens Falls on the Hudson River.
Of historical interest, the original native name Chepontuc is Iroquois, meaning hard place to get around. The Hudson River drops 60 feet over a roughly horseshoe shaped waterfall that is now capped by a dam. The falls are just above the Route 9 bridge over the Hudson River in the center of the city.
