Town of Arietta

Central Adirondack Trail, in Hamilton County

Raquette Lake and Piseco Lake are in the Town of Arietta in the Adirondack Park.

The many friendly communities in Towns like this one along the Central Adirondack Trail Scenic Byway provide the opportunity for an enjoyable walk, refreshment, and to learn more about the area. The Central Adirondack Trail is as complex and adventuresome as the terrain it follows. The 153-mile route forms the shape of a crescent moon, originating in the fertile and less rugged lowland areas surrounding the cities of Glens Falls and Rome, and winding through the south-central portion of the Adirondack Park. Starting at the Hudson River on one end and the Erie Canal on the other, scenic lakes and mountain streams continue to guide the way over much of its length.
