Saranac River Canoe Launch and Fishing Access

Olympic Byway, State Rt. 3, near Saranac Lake in Franklin County

Noted for easy access points along its length, the Saranac River is part of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail.

In Saranac Lake there is an access at the bottom of Pine Street, at the intersection of Bloomingdale Avenue, Rt 3. A small parking area is available. This resource is in Section 1 of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, a 740-mile water route extending from Old Forge in the Adirondack Park to Fort Kent, Maine.
