Any easy trailhead to find, in close proximity to the junction of Routes 3 and 30, east of Tupper Lake, southwest of Saranac Lake.
Want to reach parts of the Raquette River your paddling friends can’t quite manage? Try this creekside trail, found near the Route 30-3 split, east of the Upper Saranac Lake. As hikers progress westward, this tributary creek will suddenly empty into the mighty Raquette. This resource is in Section 1 of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, a 740-mile water route extending from Old Forge in the Adirondack Park to Fort Kent, Maine.
