Lewey Lake
Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 30, near Speculator in Hamilton County
Lewey is a 90-acre lake being named for the historical hermit and resident Louis Seymour, today offering secluded, wooded campsites and many other amenities.
Easy lake access can be had via the NYS DEC Campground, twelve miles north of Speculator, on Route 30, on the left side of the road. Public lake amenities include 209 campsites, with some designated as accessible for the mobility impaired, a picnic area with tables and fireplaces, with some accessible for the mobility impaired, flush toilets and hot showers, some accessible for mobility impaired, trailer dump station, recycling center, sand beach, swimming area, bathhouse, boat launch and hiking trails.
