Forked Lake NYSDEC Boat Launch

Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 30, near Long Lake in Hamilton County

Located at the DEC Campground, off Routes 28N and 30, 3 miles west of the hamlet of Deerland, near Long Lake village.

This is a beach launch site with nearby parking for 40 vehicles and trailers. Motorboats, rowboats, and canoes are welcome in the lake, with rowboat and canoe rentals available. Excellent fishing opportunities exist for brook trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, bullhead, and yellow perch. This resource is in Section 1 of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, a 740-mile water route extending from Old Forge in the Adirondack Park to Fort Kent, Maine.
