Historic Church of the Transfiguration

Central Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 30 and State Rt. 28N, near Blue Mountain Lake in Hamilton County

On the National Register of Historic Places, The Church of the Transfiguration in Blue Mountain Lake is open to all as a haven of spiritual nourishment.

National Register. It seemed natural in 1885 to build the Episcopal Church facing the lake since most of its parishioners came by boat. In 1886, Mrs. Levi Morton, wife of Benjamin Harrison's Vice President, donated a bell manufactured in Troy.
