Olympic Byway, County Rt. 3, near Saranac Lake in Franklin County
The Ampersand Bay Canoe Launch on Lower Saranac Lake is conveniently located in the Village of Saranac Lake on Ampersand Avenue.
To access the canoe launch for Lower Saranac Lake from Route 3, turn onto Edgewood Lane .5 West of the Village of Saranac Lake. The launch is located .25 North on Edgewood, at the very end of Ampersand Avenue. This is a Car Top launch with enough parking for 12 cars. This resource is in Section 1 of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail, a 740-mile water route extending from Old Forge in the Adirondack Park to Fort Kent, Maine.
