Lake Durant NYSDEC Boat Launch
Adirondack Trail and Central Adirondack Trail, State Rt. 30 and State Rt. 28, near Blue Mountain Lake in Hamilton County
Visit the 327 acre Lake Durant, a place of Adirondack history, at the launch near the bottom of the Rock River.
Launch is located in the DEC Public Campground & Day Use Area on Routes 28 and 30, 3 miles east of Blue Mountain Lake village. There is parking for 10 cars and trailers, and a hard surface ramp. Motor boats, rowboats, and canoes allowed. Canoe rentals available. Boat Launch is 15'x17' with concrete ramp. Because of the depth of the lake, small boats recommended. Amenities: Picnic area with tables and fireplaces, (and in adjacent DEC campground) flush toilets, hot showers, trailer dump station, recycling center, mobility impaired accessibility, sand beach, bathhouse, hiking trails. Directions: 9 miles north on Route 30 from Indian Lake Village on the left side of the road, 1/4 mile to booth.
